22nd September

The recent Bee Happy IDA Show was a great success which showed us setting up in record time thanks to the hardworking efforts of our team. With practice and dedication, we've made remarkable progress.

We had the highest number of entries compared to previous shows. Unfortunately, a few participants couldn't make it due to the rain, choosing to protect their dogs from the wet conditions. However, when I arrived, the ground was firm, raising hopes for a smooth event despite the weather.
To adapt to the rainy conditions, we made several changes: we parked on hard surfaces and brought the rings closer to the car park. Everyone worked together effectively, keeping their dogs under control and maintaining a strong team spirit.

The show ran smoothly throughout the morning with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly attendees. There were some great courses in Kate's agility ring and Denise's jumping ring. Late in the morning, the rain returned, but we persevered to complete the morning classes. By the afternoon, the continuous rain made it clear that we needed to adjust our plans. I spoke with everyone, but it became apparent that most participants preferred not to continue due to safety concerns. Given the conditions 99.9% attendees agreed it was the best option to postpone the last class of the league to one of our winter shows.

Some participants cannot attend the winter venue due to the extended journey. Sian has taken this into consideration and is exploring an indoor venue closer to the summer location to conclude the steeplechase league. All participants will be updated on this. We appreciate everyone's involvement and aim to reward their dedication.

Although our sponsor had to drop out, we quickly received a new offer and secured a new sponsor: the lovely Agility and More Podcast. We're excited to have them support the steeplechase league.
The summer shows concluded on a high note, and it's heart warming to reflect on our progress and development. We are grateful to everyone who attends these shows, and the positive feedback has been truly encouraging. We are proud to have established our Bee Happy family and look forward to continuing this journey together.
